ECT Registration Guidance
Step 1: Please register your ECT on ECT Manager
Please register your ECTs on ECT Manager. If your school is new to ECT Manager, please contact us on teachingschoolhub@xaviercet.org.uk, so that we can set up your school and guide you through the process. You may also find this video useful.
You will need the following information for each ECT you wish to register:
Full name
Date of birth
National insurance number
Teacher reference number (TRN)
Date QTS was awarded
Name of ITT training provider
Qualification awarded (EG PGCE, QTS only)
Subject(s) qualified to teach
Name and email of ECT mentor
Start date of induction
Contract details (including FTE and whether contract is temporary/permanent)
Current programme type: Please select provider-led (DfE funded) unless you have chosen to follow a school-led programme (usually independent schools)
Delivery partner: Xavier
Lead Provider: Teach First if you are following the provider-led programme, or NiOT if following a school-led programme
Step 2: Register on (DfE portal)
The DfE have launched a new service for registering ECTs and mentors, the DfE Register Early Career Teachers (RECT) . This is now open for September registrations.
